Job Summary:

The Project Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of Expert Advisory Services (EAS) projects. This includes using EAS systems to track and prioritize projects based on consultant availability and project workflow. This requires the ability to work with internal Nelson and Sterigenics teams across accounting, customer service, sterilization facilities, and labs. The Project Manager will facilitate regular meetings to support consultants on projects to ensure that they are staying on-time and in budget. The Project Manager provides a general overview of group capacities to the consulting team and helps communicate and solve significant issues as they arise where there's potential adverse impact to the success of projects.

Education and experience requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (in public relations, communications, business, or biological science) with proven working project management experience with internal and external customers OR
  • A.A./A.S. with four years' Sotera Health experience OR
  • Some of the following preferred qualifications:

Preferred:

  • Experience with project management software tools
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)/PRINCE II certification
  • Specialized education in relevant field of study

Essential Duties:

Project Management

  • Direct project inquiries to appropriate experts
  • Ensure consulting project management processes and principles are tracked and reported
  • Update and improve the consulting project management process
  • Facilitate weekly project update meetings
  • Identify resource needs: work with area managers to secure or schedule project resources as necessary
  • Support consultants in managing day-to-day execution of consulting work
  • Review projects and assist to ensure they are progressing towards milestones and completion
  • Prepare information for client meetings (summary of projects in house, including testing and consulting)
  • Provide support in gathering the necessary information for consulting projects (test reports, data sheets, etc.)

Project Communication

  • Work with various teams within Nelson Labs, Sterigenics and EAS to support projects
  • Facilitate quoting, re-quoting, and resolution to payment issues
  • Professional email and verbal communication with clients (internal and external) with ability to de-escalate tense situations
  • Effectively communicate relevant project information to the consultant
  • Ability to assess when to escalate issues ensuring a timely resolve

Professional Development

  • Become proficient with EAS internal systems (CRM, CROWE, etc.)

Regulatory Compliance

  • Know and follow applicable regulatory requirements (GMP, GLP, ISO, etc.).
  • Know and follow company policies and procedures.
  • Complete required training on time.

Professionalism

  • Attend work regularly and reliably.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, keyboards, computer mouse, telephones, photocopiers, projectors and file cabinets. Some travel, typically not to exceed 15%

Physical requirements:

  • Must be able to stand/walk for 10% of the day and 90% of the day sitting at a desk or on the computer.

This position is not required to move or lift items greater than 45 lbs. (This is indicative of a normal lift whether at home or at work).
